Lucknow: Elaborate security arrangements were put in place at Charbagh Railway Station to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Examination. With a large number of candidates arriving in the city, the Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) intensified security measures across the station premises.
Senior officials, including GRP Superintendent of Police Rohit Mishra and RPF Commandant Devesh Shukla, conducted a joint inspection of the station and reviewed security and crowd management arrangements. A coordinated foot patrol was carried out by GRP and RPF personnel to monitor the situation and maintain vigilance.
Special checking drives were conducted on platforms, inside trains, and throughout the station premises. Passengers’ luggage underwent thorough screening, while Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) teams and dog squads carried out extensive searches to rule out any security threats. Officials also inspected train coaches and key passenger areas, including waiting halls and entry-exit points.

Authorities appealed to passengers and examination candidates to remain alert and immediately report any suspicious activity or unattended objects. Additional police personnel were deployed to manage the expected rush and ensure hassle-free movement of passengers and candidates.
Security agencies maintained round-the-clock surveillance, with GRP and RPF teams remaining on high alert throughout the examination period. Officials stated that comprehensive measures had been implemented to ensure a safe, orderly, and secure environment for all commuters and exam aspirants at Charbagh Railway Station.
