Lucknow: The evening became truly memorable as Lucknow’s art, craftsmanship, and fashion converged on a brilliantly lit ramp. Organized by FICCI FLO Lucknow, ‘Gulmohar 2026 – Fashion with a Cause’ combined the glamour of fashion with a message of preserving the city’s rich heritage. Local designers, jewelers, artisans, and female members of FICCI FLO showcased their remarkable talent during the event.
Held under the guidance of FICCI FLO Lucknow Chairperson Simran Sahni, this fashion fundraiser aimed to go beyond mere glamour and ramp walks. The event’s core message focused on recognizing local talent, promoting Lucknow’s traditional craftsmanship, and reviving the fading ‘Tapchi’ art form. The organizers placed special emphasis on providing greater recognition and opportunities to artisans associated with this art.
Six Designer-Jeweler Duos Dazzle
Designers and jewelers from Lucknow showcased their creativity through unique collaborations on the ‘Gulmohar Runway.’ Presentations by the pairings of Hastkari & Aesthetic Gold Jewellers, Masaki & Badri Sarraf Kalyanpur, Charkha & AJB Jewels, Vritti & Punjab Jewellers, Aasma & Aesthetic Gold Jewellers, and Karma & Singhal Jewellers garnered immense applause from the audience.
FICCI FLO members walked the ramp as ‘muses,’ linking fashion with confidence and women’s empowerment. Their presence conveyed the message that fashion is not merely about display, but also a medium to provide a platform for women’s creativity and self-assurance. Malaika Arora Shines as Showstopper
The ‘Gulmohar’ evening was infused with glamour through the special participation of renowned designers Rimple and Harpreet Narula. Actress Malaika Arora elevated the grandeur of the event by walking the ramp as the celebrity showstopper.
The presence of FICCI FLO National President Pooja Garg also added a special touch to the occasion.
A Greater Purpose Behind the Fashion
The vision of event chair Sanya Wadhwa brought fashion, heritage, and a social cause together on a single platform. Her aim was to create a stage where local talent could find opportunities and Lucknow’s centuries-old craftsmanship could be showcased to the new generation.
‘Gulmohar 2026’ conveyed a clear message from the ramp: fashion is truly meaningful only when its glamour is backed by the purpose of preserving a skill, an artisan, and a heritage.
The success of ‘Gulmohar 2026’ was the result of the collective effort of the FICCI FLO Lucknow Executive Committee.
