Lucknow: Students of La Martiniere Girls College have brought laurels to the institution by winning first place in two categories at the Pan-India Competition ANVESHAN, organised by ITIHAAS and supported by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in New Delhi.
Celebrating creativity, music and cultural expression, the competition witnessed participation from hundreds of entries from across the country. The students of La Martiniere Girls College emerged winners in both the CHESHTA category for Junior School and JUMBISH for Middle School.
The winning performances were particularly notable as the lyrics were written and the music composed by the students themselves. The choirs then performed their original compositions live in New Delhi, where they were declared winners in both categories.
The CHESHTA winning team comprised Class 5 students Agrani Sinha, Sanvi Mishra, Shubhra Pandey, Dua Fatima, Sharanya Saxena, Akshita Mishra, Elina Chaurasia, Zoya Jafri, Aryaa Singh, Avni Gupta, Ahaana Swarnkar, Mirfat Fatima and Mysha Hayat.
The JUMBISH-winning Middle School team included Tanishka Daniel, Nitya Kapur, Adhya Gupta, Varenya Razdan, Aaditri Rastogi, Mannya Sharma, Riddhima Dey, Kashvi Srivastava, Shafia Shamsi, Anindita Mishra, Avika Singh, Keya Lakhani, Aashrita Ravishankar, Subhashini Sharma, Anvesha Aseem, Aditi Sharma, Stuti Tewari, Drisha Jain, Shyla Ahuja, Alisha Zohra Ansari, Ipshita Seth, Mishka Yadav, Yashasvi Singh and Veera Aditya.
The school congratulated the students for their creativity and talent and expressed gratitude to the staff members who trained the teams and accompanied them to New Delhi.
