Lucknow: An oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected office-bearers of a committee at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI), Lucknow, was held at the CV Raman Auditorium on the institute campus.
The ceremony was attended by chief guest Professor Harsh Vardhan, Medical Superintendent of SGPGI, along with distinguished guests Professor Aruna Bharti, LK Bharti and Dr Basant Kumar, Head of the Department of Paediatrics.
Representatives of various employee organisations were also present, including Employee Federation president Dharmesh Kumar, general secretary Seema Shukla, Nursing Staff Union president Lata Sachan and Safai Union president Mahendra Kumar. Former office-bearers of the SC/ST Welfare Committee, including former president Harish Jayant and general secretary Manju Singh, also attended the programme.
The newly elected committee members took the oath during the ceremony. The office-bearers include president Raj Kumar, general secretary Savita Verma, vice-president Pawan Kumar, treasurer Vandana Bharti, joint secretaries Arvind Kumar and Shivani Rawat, organisational secretary Seema, office secretary S. Kanya Kumari and publicity secretary Veer Bali. Executive members Julie, Krishnapal, Subhash Kumar, Twinkle Verma and Rajesh Kumar also took the oath.
The committee elections were held on August 12, 2026, under the supervision of chief election officer Shashank Shinde and election officers Harveer Singh, Ajay Kumar, Ram Sagar Jaiswar and Sunil Kumar.
The newly elected committee also arranged lunch for participants following the ceremony.
