World Heart Day: GSCC and Max Hospital Hold Health Awareness and Check-up Camp

MoU signed for GSCC–MAX Health Privilege Card for club members and their families

Lucknow — On the occasion of World Heart Day, the Gomti Senior Citizens Club (GSCC), Lucknow, in association with Max Super Speciality Hospital, Lucknow, organized a heart health awareness and check-up programme at Max Hospital today. During the event, an MoU was signed between GSCC and Max Hospital, under which the GSCC–MAX Health Privilege Card was launched to offer special facilities and concessions to GSCC members and their families for treatment at Max Hospital.

The programme began at 12:00 noon with a lamp-lighting ceremony. Following this, GSCC Founder & President Mr. R.K. Singh delivered the welcome address, highlighting the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle, regular health check-ups, and timely medical consultation for senior citizens.

Cardiologists Share Key Insights on Heart Health

The highlight of the event was a Heart Care Awareness Session conducted by the Cardiac Sciences team of Max Hospital. Specialist doctors shared important information with senior citizens on maintaining heart health, reducing the risk of cardiac diseases, recognizing symptoms early, and seeking timely medical advice.

Speakers at the session included:

  • Dr. Danish Hasan Kazmi, Interventional Cardiology, who spoke on the prevention of heart disease, risk factors, and the importance of timely treatment.
  • Dr. Amit K. Soni, Interventional Cardiology, who emphasized regular check-ups, necessary lifestyle changes, and the need for timely medical consultation for cardiac concerns.
  • Dr. Prachi Rai, Cardiologist, who spoke on heart health care for senior citizens, healthy living, and the importance of awareness in preventing heart disease.

The doctors also interacted with attendees, answering their questions on heart health and underscoring that regular check-ups, a balanced diet, physical activity, stress management, and adherence to medical advice are key to cardiac wellbeing.

Cultural and Awareness Activities

Alongside the health awareness session, the event featured a Ganesh Vandana, a skit based on heart health, a talent showcase, and a balloon release ceremony.

GSCC Programme Coordinator Mr. Anoop Kumar, Ex-GM, NABARD, thanked all guests, doctors, partner organizations, and participants on behalf of the club for the successful organization of the event.

GSCC–MAX Health Privilege Card

Through the MoU signed between GSCC and Max Hospital, GSCC members and their families will be entitled to special facilities and discounted treatment at Max Hospital. Under the terms and conditions of the GSCC–MAX Health Privilege Card, special benefits will be extended across services including consultation, diagnostics, procedures, and IPD services.

Keeping senior citizens’ health in focus, the event also offered cardiology consultations, ECG, eye check-ups, dental check-ups, BMD, and other health screenings.

Special Participation by ICICI Bank

ICICI Bank also took part in the event, sponsoring sling bags as gifts for all participants. The ICICI Bank team also briefed GSCC members and attendees on various banking schemes and facilities available for senior citizens.

Special Contribution by Ashish Sharma

Mr. Ashish Sharma, Marketing Head, Max Hospital, played a key role in bringing about this important collaboration between GSCC and Max Hospital. He made special efforts to establish contact with GSCC, coordinate between the two organizations, and ensure the smooth conduct of today’s health awareness programme.

The GSCC team expressed special gratitude to Mr. Ashish Sharma for his contribution, noting that his active cooperation and coordination were instrumental in bringing both the health awareness programme and the GSCC–MAX Health Privilege Card initiative to fruition.

Following a lunch hosted by Max Hospital at around 2:30 PM, the health check-up camp continued, with GSCC members and their families availing of the various health services on offer.

GSCC’s Objective

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. R.K. Singh, Founder & President, Gomti Senior Citizens Club (GSCC), Lucknow, said that GSCC’s objective is to provide senior citizens and their families with better health awareness, timely medical consultation, and easy access to quality healthcare facilities.

He expressed gratitude to Max Hospital, Mr. Ashish Sharma, ICICI Bank, the cardiology team, and all the doctors and associates involved in the programme. He said the collaboration with Max Hospital is a valuable step toward health security for GSCC members and their families, adding that such health awareness programmes help make senior citizens more conscious of their health and encourage them to seek timely medical advice.
