Lucknow: A review meeting was held at the Smart City Office in Lalbagh on Saturday to strengthen traffic management in the Kamta, Polytechnic and Chinhat areas of Lucknow. The meeting was chaired by the DCP (Traffic) and attended by officials from the departments concerned.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on compliance with directions issued earlier and on short-, medium- and long-term measures to improve traffic movement in the identified areas.
The regulation and operation of e-rickshaws also came under detailed review. Officials discussed adherence to designated routes, regulation of e-rickshaw movement and their impact on traffic, with emphasis on better management to ensure smoother movement.
Directions were also issued to streamline parking arrangements at commercial establishments and remove roadside encroachments through coordinated action by the local police and Lucknow Municipal Corporation.
Officials were directed to ensure effective inter-departmental coordination and time-bound action to make traffic movement safer, smoother and more efficient.
