Bareilly: Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Bareilly, has opened the Samarth Portal for admissions through the lateral entry route to the second year (third semester) of the B.Sc. (Honours) Agriculture programme offered by its Faculty of Agriculture and Technology.
Eligible candidates can now submit their applications online through the portal. The facility has been introduced to accommodate students who were previously unable to apply due to the non-availability of the admission portal.
Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology, Prof. Upendra Kumar, said that the university administration has completed all necessary arrangements to facilitate the admission process. He encouraged interested and eligible students to submit their applications within the prescribed timeline through the Samarth Portal.
The lateral entry provision offers an important opportunity for qualified students to continue their agricultural education and join the degree programme directly in the second year, subject to eligibility criteria laid down by the university.
University officials stated that the initiative is aimed at ensuring wider access to higher education in agriculture and providing deserving students with a streamlined admission process through a digital platform.

Candidates seeking detailed information regarding eligibility, admission procedures and important dates may visit the university’s official website, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, or contact the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology via email at deanag@mjpru.ac.in.
The university has advised applicants to complete the online application process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
