Bareilly — As part of the “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan” being observed in Bareilly district from September 17 to October 17, 2026 — aimed at taking the public welfare achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of continuous public service to every citizen and connecting each individual to the collective national resolve of a Developed India by 2047 — “Godbharai” (baby shower) ceremonies were organized on Friday at various Anganwadi centres across the district under the theme “Aangan Milan Seva.”
During the programs, godbharai ceremonies were conducted for pregnant women following traditional customs, and they were given detailed information on nutritious diet, balanced nutrition, regular health check-ups, timely vaccination, and the importance of institutional delivery. They were also made aware of various public welfare schemes related to maternal and child health.
In this connection, enthusiastic programs were also held at Anganwadi Centre Gaini (Majhgawan development block), Anganwadi Centre Shivpuri (Majhgawan development block), Anganwadi Centre Kalyanpur, and other centres. Anganwadi workers and helpers shared important messages on nutrition, hygiene, and childcare with pregnant women and their family members.
District administration officials said that under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, various programs related to women and child development, health, education, sanitation, and public welfare will continue to be organized in the coming days, so as to connect every section of society with the journey of development.
