Bareilly: Admissions have commenced for the employment-oriented postgraduate programmes offered by the Centre of Excellence for Multilingual Studies (CoEMS) at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Bareilly, for the 2026-27 academic session.
Announcing the launch of the admission process in a special interaction, Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh said applications are being invited for the two-year M.A. in Functional Hindi and M.A. in Pali programmes. The courses have been designed to equip students with language proficiency, research capabilities, communication skills and professional competencies that enhance employability across a range of sectors.
According to Prof. Singh, the university is committed to providing multidisciplinary and skill-based education in line with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The programmes aim to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, enabling students to build successful careers in emerging professional fields.
The M.A. in Functional Hindi focuses on practical applications of language and offers career opportunities in media, journalism, mass communication, advertising, translation, content writing, publishing and administrative services. The programme is designed to help students develop advanced communication and writing skills that are increasingly in demand across public and private sectors.
The M.A. in Pali programme, meanwhile, provides a strong foundation for careers in research, higher education, Buddhist studies, cultural studies, archaeology, museums and academic institutions. It also offers students opportunities to engage with India’s rich intellectual and cultural heritage while pursuing specialized scholarly work.
Each programme has an intake capacity of 40 seats, and the annual fee has been fixed at ₹7,550. Candidates seeking admission must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
