District Magistrate Conducts Surprise Inspection of Babu Ishwar Sharan District Hospital and Medical College, Issues Strict Directions for Improvement

Gonda: In an effort to further strengthen healthcare services and improve patient facilities, District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan conducted a surprise inspection of Babu Ishwar Sharan District Hospital and Medical College on Friday. During the visit, she thoroughly reviewed various arrangements across the hospital and medical college campus and issued a series of directives aimed at enhancing patient care and administrative efficiency.

The District Magistrate emphasized that the convenience and welfare of patients and their attendants should remain the highest priority. She directed officials to ensure a well-organized parking system to facilitate smooth movement within the hospital premises and instructed them to improve seating arrangements for patients and visitors. She also inspected the OPD, waiting areas, and other key sections, stressing the need for continuous improvement in facilities.

Reviewing the digital management of patient services, she directed that all prescribed medicines be updated online in a timely and error-free manner to prevent inconvenience to patients. She also instructed officials to maintain strict cleanliness standards across the hospital, including regular sanitation of toilets and common areas.

To improve accessibility for elderly, differently-abled, and critically ill patients, the District Magistrate ordered that at least five wheelchairs be made available on every floor of the hospital. She further directed that adequate numbers of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare personnel be deployed to ensure prompt and quality medical care.

Addressing senior officials, including the Principal of the Medical College, the Chief Medical Officer, the Chief Medical Superintendent, and the Medical College Superintendent, she instructed that all deficiencies identified during the inspection be rectified within 15 days. She warned that any negligence or laxity in implementing the directives would not be tolerated.

Priyanka Niranjan reiterated that providing quality healthcare services and a dignified environment for every patient is among the administration’s top priorities. She directed officials to ensure that visitors to the hospital face no inconvenience and receive efficient healthcare services in a clean, organized, and patient-friendly atmosphere.
