Lucknow: Social and cultural organization Udaan organized a grand Bada Mangal Bhandara on the occasion of the fifth Bada Mangal of the holy month of Jyeshtha at Mahalaxmi Market, Chandan Road, Indira Nagar, Lucknow, on Tuesday. Women members of the organization played a key role in distributing prasad among devotees and the needy.
The event began in the morning with prayers in remembrance of Lord Hanuman, followed by a recitation of the Sundarkand. Udaan President Sarita Singh and Secretary Narendra Yadav performed the traditional worship of Lord Hanuman and offered bhog as part of the religious observances.
A large number of devotees participated in the community feast, which reflected the spirit of devotion, service, and social harmony associated with the Bada Mangal celebrations in Lucknow. Women members of the Udaan group enthusiastically distributed prasad, including puri-sabzi, chhole-rice, buttermilk, boondi, apples, and bananas, among devotees and underprivileged people.

The organizers said that the event was aimed at promoting community welfare and preserving the cultural and spiritual traditions linked to the revered Bada Mangal festival. The bhandara witnessed active participation from local residents, devotees, and volunteers, creating an atmosphere of faith, unity, and collective service.
