LUCKNOW: A tragic accident occurred late on the night of December 31, 2024, when two motorcyclists collided on a bridge in front of Vivekanand Hospital. The crash left both riders seriously injured, one of whom later succumbed to his injuries.
According to the local police, the incident took place on the bridge near Vivekanand Hospital, and the police team was immediately alerted during their patrol. The first response team and the second mobile unit from the police station, arrived at the scene shortly after.
By the time they reached, the 112 PRB team had already transported one of the seriously injured individuals to the Trauma Center in an ambulance. The second injured rider, identified as Khalid, was sent to the Civil Hospital with the help of another ambulance but was later referred to Balrampur Hospital for further treatment.
The two motorcycles involved in the crash were registered under the numbers UP32BB3845 and UP32HQ0782.
Both riders were in critical condition and unable to provide any details about the incident at the time of the collision. Tragically, the individual taken to the Trauma Center was later declared dead by doctors.
Upon inquiring about the deceased, a neighbor identified the victim as Aditya Singh, a 26-year-old resident of Sheikhupur Colony, Ali Ganj, Lucknow. His father’s name is Ratan Singh. The police have initiated the necessary formalities, including conducting a post-mortem examination.
Meanwhile, the condition of the other injured individual, Khalid, who was sent to Balrampur Hospital for treatment, was being monitored. The police reached out to his family and confirmed that his full name is Khalid, son of Sakir Ali, a resident of Adarsh Colony, Baroda, Thana Dubagga, Lucknow. He is currently admitted to the Carrier Hospital in Ghailla Road, Madiyanv, for further treatment.
The authorities have assured that further legal proceedings are ongoing, including the completion of necessary documentation and investigation into the cause of the accident.
