Lucknow: Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) is working relentlessly to promote innovation and startups across the state, under its initiative “One District, One Incubator.” The university, under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. J.P. Pandey, has set an ambitious goal of establishing nearly 300 incubation centers, with 100 pre-incubation centers already in operation. To further support these centers and enhance their capabilities, a three-day Capacity Building Workshop is being held for the representatives of 40 newly established pre-incubation centers, at T-Hub, Hyderabad.
The workshop, which is took place from January 9 to 11, 2025, aimed to provide participants with vital knowledge and skills to enhance the effectiveness of pre-incubation centers. The team of 40 representatives, along with members of the Innovation Hub, left for Hyderabad under the guidance of Prof. J.P. Pandey. During the workshop, experts at T-Hub will provide critical insights on how to support startups, foster innovation, and transform new ideas into successful business ventures.
Participants were trained on various aspects of setting up and managing incubation centers, including operations, onboarding, mentoring, and other essential elements to make a significant impact on the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
A key highlight of the event was the formal signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AKTU’s Innovation Hub and T-Hub, Hyderabad. The MoU was signed in the presence of Keshav Singh, University’s Finance Officer, Dr. Anuj Kumar Sharma, Associate Dean of Innovation & Social Entrepreneurship, and Sujit Jaghirdar, CEO of T-Hub. The ceremony saw the participation of Maheep Singh, Head of Innovation Hub, Vandana Sharma, and other key officials.
This workshop and MoU signing ceremony marked a significant step towards fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the state and providing valuable support to budding startups.
