Gonda: Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank honoured young cricket talent Lakshya Raichandani following his selection as captain of the Indian Under-19 ODI cricket team. Raichandani inaugurated the bank’s Sports Day celebrations at the Regional Office in Gonda, where officers and employees accorded him a warm welcome and extended their best wishes for his future.
During the programme, Regional Manager and AGM Raj Kumar Dwivedi felicitated Raichandani on his appointment as captain of the Indian Under-19 team. Describing the achievement as a matter of pride for the region and the entire bank family, Dwivedi congratulated the young cricketer and wished him success in his forthcoming cricketing career.
The event was attended by Deputy Regional Manager Rakesh Kumar Singh, Financial Literacy Counsellor K.K. Pandey, Senior Manager Suresh Chand, Senior Manager Dinesh Dubey and other officials and employees of the regional office. They congratulated Raichandani and expressed their best wishes for his continued success.
Speaking on the occasion, Raichandani shared his journey in cricket, including the challenges, struggles and hard work that helped him reach the national level. He said that consistent effort, discipline, dedication and determination had remained central to his pursuit of his goals.
Raichandani also credited his parents for playing a pivotal role in his success. He said their sacrifices, support, faith and constant encouragement had been his greatest source of strength. Expressing his gratitude, he described his parents as the foundation of his cricketing journey.
The young captain also thanked the Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank family for its long-standing association with his family. He said the family’s relationship with the bank over the years had been built on warmth and trust, making the opportunity to share such an important milestone with the bank family particularly meaningful.
The felicitation marked a proud moment for the Gonda region as Raichandani prepares to lead India’s Under-19 side on the international cricket stage.
