Gonda: A theft was reported at Primary School Parade Sarkar under the Jhanjhari development block of Gonda district, where a gas cylinder was allegedly stolen from the school kitchen.
Headmistress Reena Yadav informed the Block Education Officer and the police about the incident. Police reached the school on Monday and inspected the premises as part of the investigation.
According to the complaint submitted by the headmistress, she reached the school on the morning of September 21 after the Sunday holiday. When cook Kanti Devi went to open the kitchen, they found that the latch had been broken and the lock was lying on the ground.
The complaint stated that an unidentified person allegedly broke the kitchen lock and entered the premises before stealing the school’s LPG cylinder.
The police are currently investigating the matter and examining the circumstances surrounding the theft. Further details are awaited.
