Gonda: A farmer training programme organised by Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited was held on September 21, 2026, at Pipri Narayanpur village in Tarabganj development block of Gonda district under the company’s Seed to Harvest initiative.
The programme was attended by farmers from the area and focused on balanced fertiliser use, soil testing, scientific farming practices, crop nutrition and integrated management of weeds, pests and diseases.
Chief guest Vijay Nath Verma, Gram Pradhan of Narayanpur, urged farmers to adopt balanced fertiliser application in their crops and avoid indiscriminate use of agricultural inputs.
Naman Pandey, Marketing Manager, Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited, advised farmers to use fertilisers and other inputs according to soil-testing recommendations. He highlighted the importance of quality agricultural products and provided information about the company’s range of products, including Uttam Teemon, Uttam Visa, Uttam Superiza, Uttam Pranam, Uttam Calrich and Uttam Sulfino.
Pandey also informed farmers that they can seek assistance regarding farming practices and the company’s products through the toll-free number 18001805550.
Dr Ram Lakhan Singh, Senior Scientist, Agronomy, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Mankapur, provided technical guidance on timely agricultural operations in paddy, kharif maize and sugarcane. He also explained scientific cultivation practices for toria, mustard, rabi maize and autumn sugarcane.
The training covered the use of sulphur in pulse and oilseed crops and the role of bio-fertilisers in improving crop productivity and soil health.
Saurabh Mishra, Uttam Krishi Sevak, Chambal Fertilisers, explained the company’s products related to weed management as well as pest and disease management. A display of the company’s agricultural products was also organised during the programme. Mishra also played a key role in mobilising farmers for the training session.
Representatives of Yadav Fertiliser and Seed Store, Narayanpur Kanta, along with progressive farmers including Ramnayak Yadav, Sanjay Yadav, Rajesh Yadav, Prem Nath Verma, Shrikant Singh, Vijay Kumar Srivastava and Geeta Devi, participated in the programme.
The participants interacted with the experts and obtained information on crop management, scientific farming techniques, fertiliser application and agricultural products.
The training programme concluded with the message “Uttam ka Yogdan, Sampoorna Samadhan”, emphasising the importance of scientific agricultural practices and informed input use for better farm management.
