SBI hands over cheque to help leprosy patients

Lucknow: In a significant boost to healthcare services for vulnerable communities, State Bank of India Managing Director Ashwini Kumar Tewari handed over a cheque of ₹40.69 lakh to The Leprosy Mission Trust India under the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative during his visit to Lucknow.

The financial assistance will support the procurement of advanced medical equipment for hospitals operated by TLMTI in Ayodhya and Barabanki. The initiative aims to strengthen healthcare services for patients suffering from leprosy and other neglected tropical diseases (NTDs).

Speaking on the occasion, Tewari reaffirmed SBI’s commitment to inclusive growth and grassroots healthcare support. He emphasized that the contribution would help improve medical facilities and ensure better access to quality healthcare for marginalized communities.

Senior SBI officials, including Dipesh Raj, Vimal Kishore and Kaushalendra Kumar, were also present at the event.
