Mumbai: Television actress Simple Kaul, known for her memorable roles in Shararat, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Saas Bina Sasural, Ba Bahoo Aur Baby, and Ziddi Dil Maane Na, believes tea is far more than just a refreshing drink—it is deeply tied to emotions, comfort, and togetherness.
Sharing her love for chai, Simple said, “A perfect cup of tea instantly brings me into a good mood. I love my chai strong, karak, and I think I am karak too.” She added that tea has always been an important part of her life, not just because of its taste, but because of the emotional value it carries.
Talking about why tea feels so special to so many people, the actress shared, “Tea is more than just a beverage. It brings people emotionally closer. Whether it’s family conversations, catching up with friends, or just sitting together and talking, chai naturally creates warmth and bonding.”
Simple also reflected on the nostalgic memories tea brings back from her childhood, especially her connection with Kashmiri tea traditions. She fondly recalled drinking Kehwa chai and Sheer Chai, also known as Noon Chai, which were often part of winters, weddings, and intimate family gatherings.

Recalling those cherished moments, she said, “Growing up, tea was always around us—during winters, at family get-togethers, weddings, and even long conversations at home. Kehwa and Sheer Chai hold beautiful memories for me.”
For the actress, chai is not only linked to flavour, but also to comfort and togetherness. She believes there is something incredibly special about sharing tea with loved ones.
Summing up her thoughts, Simple shared, “There’s a different kind of peace in sipping tea while talking to people you love. That warmth and comfort are truly unmatched.”
