Lucknow: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Lucknow Division organized a Deepotsav Karyakarta Parivar Milan (Festival of Lights Worker Family Get-Together) on Friday at the CMS auditorium in Gomti Nagar Extension.
The event saw the attendance of prominent leaders, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust Champat Rai, and RSS All India Pracharak Pramukh Swant Ranjan, along with various officials from the RSS and its affiliated organizations.
Rajnath Singh: RSS is Now the Centre of Global Conversation
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that the RSS is now the focus of discussion across the world.
- “Wherever we go in the world, people inquire about the Sangh,” he said.
- Singh highlighted that the Sangh has become the world’s largest voluntary organization.
- He noted that the nation’s leadership is currently in the hands of RSS ‘Swayamsevaks’ (volunteers).
- He also mentioned that the Government of India has issued an RSS coin to mark the Sangh’s centenary year.
- Singh asserted that the Bhagwa Dhwaj (Saffron Flag), a symbol of Sanatana culture, is their center of inspiration.
The Defence Minister also spoke on national security, stating that India is rapidly moving towards self-reliance in the defense sector. He called for young people who are not just educated but also understand, develop, and promote indigenous technology.
CM Yogi: ‘A Change in Time’
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath remarked that the struggle of the Sangh and the blessings of the saints in Ayodhya appear to be bearing fruit.

- He defined the ‘Deep’ (lamp/light) as a resolution of Sanatana Dharma, stating that any resolution taken with the lamp will be fulfilled.
- He pointed out the significant change in tradition, noting that previously the Raj Bhavan and Chief Minister’s residence only hosted ‘Eid Milan’ and ‘Roza Iftar’ parties, and not events related to Sanatana Dharma. “The time has changed. Today, we are meeting,” he said.
Ram Mandir: Symbol of India’s Glory
Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, added that the Ram Mandir is a symbol of India’s glory in the entire world. He described the temple as a center of social harmony and the unity of India.
The Deepawali Milan event also featured the presentation of cultural programs.
