Lucknow: One Day Masters Trainer Training Program on Cyber Safe Uttar Pradesh was organized by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in collaboration with CDAC and Innovation Hub at Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. Police officers, teachers and students from all over the state participated in this program. Cyber security was discussed in the program. Experts said that cyber crime is increasing very fast and in various ways. The most important step to deal with it is awareness. The more aware you are about cyber security, the more you can avoid becoming its victim.

As the chief guest, DIG Cyber Crime Pawan Kumar inaugurated the program. On this occasion, he highlighted the cyber threat on the basis of various facts. He said that in today’s era, cyber crime is one of the biggest problems in the world. It is spreading rapidly. Its methods of fraud are also changing every day.

A cybercriminal easily makes anyone his victim. As fast as technology is developing, it also has many dangers. He said that about six lakh cases of cyber crime are registered in the state. Whereas in comparison to this, the number of policemen is very less. He said that cyber crime can be reduced by awareness but it cannot be completely stopped. Therefore, full proof preparations will have to be made to stop it. He said that two ways can help a lot in preventing cyber crime. First, only the person in whose name the mobile number is should use it. Similarly, only the person in whose name the bank account is should operate it. If someone else uses it, then there is a high possibility of cyber crime. He said that policemen should behave sensitively with the victim.

SP Cyber Crime Rajesh Kumar Yadav said that we are living in the digital age. Every work is being done digitally. Technology has its advantages and there are many types of dangers too. Cyber crime is one of those dangers. Most of the victims of cyber crime are educated people.

Therefore, awareness about cyber security is most important. Policemen first need to know about cyber security and its various aspects. Then make the general public aware as well. Cybercrime can be avoided by keeping some things in mind. He said that for this it is most important that you do not share your account information with anyone. Do not get trapped in misleading advertisements. If you ever become a victim of cybercrime, then immediately call the toll-free number and register a report.

Former IPS and Chief Mentor of FCRF Prof. Triveni Singh said that the whole world is worried about cyber security. Every minute someone is becoming its victim. In minutes a person sitting thousands of kilometers away is swindling thousands of crores.

After the advent of Artificial Intelligence, it has become even easier to commit cybercrime. Therefore, the responsibility of the policemen has increased. First the police will have to know about technology and cyber security themselves. So that they can help the public completely. There should also be complete information about what to do in case of cybercrime. So that immediate help can be provided.

Finance Officer Keshav Singh also said that being aware is the most important thing to avoid cybercrime.

M Jagdish Babu of CDAC threw light on various methods of cyber security. Told how this can be avoided to a great extent through technology. Also, awareness was said to be important for cyber security.

Vice Chancellor Professor JP Pandey also gave guidance in the program. Guests were welcomed by Associate Dean Innovation Dr. Anuj Kumar Sharma. While the program was conducted by Vandana Sharma, thanks were given by the Head of Innovation Hub Maheep Singh.
