Lucknow: In preparation for the upcoming New Year celebrations, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) East, Shashank Singh, along with Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) East, conducted an intensive foot patrol across key areas in the Eastern Zone of the city. The operation aimed to maintain peace and law and order while ensuring public safety in high-traffic and crowded locations.
The patrolling team, accompanied by a strong contingent of police personnel, focused on monitoring busy areas such as markets, public squares, and transport hubs. A comprehensive checking of suspicious individuals and vehicles was carried out during the exercise, with particular attention given to potential disruptions and security threats.
According to DCP Shashank Singh, “The primary objective of this patrol is to foster a sense of security among citizens as they prepare to celebrate the New Year. We are committed to ensuring that all festivities proceed without any untoward incidents. People are advised to cooperate with the police and report any suspicious activity immediately.”
The authorities also reviewed the deployment of security personnel and assessed the readiness of rapid response teams. Special attention was paid to ensuring that emergency services are adequately equipped to handle any situation.
The public has welcomed the proactive measures taken by the police, expressing appreciation for their efforts to ensure a safe and peaceful environment during the festive period.
The police have reiterated their appeal to citizens to celebrate responsibly, avoid unruly behavior, and adhere to traffic and safety regulations.
