DGP, ADG Law and Order Oversee Festive Security Preparations

Lucknow: Director General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar, accompanied by Additional Director General (ADG) Law and Order Amitabh Yash, visited the Commissioner of Police (CP) Command Office in Lucknow. The visit aimed to review law and order arrangements and preparations for the upcoming New Year celebrations.

The high-level meeting saw the participation of senior officers, including the Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP), Commissioner of Police (CP), Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), and Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police (ADCPs). Officials from various districts also joined the discussion through video conferencing to ensure a cohesive approach across the state.

The DGP emphasized the importance of maintaining a robust security environment during the festive season, particularly in public spaces and high-footfall areas such as markets, malls, and celebratory venues. He instructed officers to increase police visibility through foot patrols and to strengthen checkpoints to deter any potential threats or disruptions.

Speaking on the occasion, DGP Prashant Kumar stated, “Ensuring public safety and maintaining law and order during New Year celebrations is our top priority. All units must remain vigilant, and citizens are encouraged to cooperate with the police to make this a safe and joyful celebration for everyone.”

ADG Law and Order Amitabh Yash highlighted the role of technology in modern policing. He urged district officials to leverage CCTV surveillance, drone monitoring, and real-time communication systems to address any challenges promptly.

Key Directives Issued During the Meeting:

  1. Enhanced Security Measures: Deployment of additional forces in crowded areas and sensitive zones.
