Bareilly: Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Bareilly, has added another academic achievement to its credit as Pushpendra Maurya, a research scholar from the Department of Business Administration, successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis during the viva voce examination held on July 15, 2026.
The doctoral research was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Saurabh Verma, Associate Professor, Department of Business Administration. The external examiner for the viva was Prof. Amit Joshi, Dean and Head of the Department of Management Studies, D.S.B. Campus, Kumaun University, Nainital, Uttarakhand.
Maurya’s research was titled “A Study of Consumer Perception and Acceptance of IFFCO Nano Fertilizers: With Special Reference to the Green Marketing Initiative.” During the viva, the external expert appreciated the quality, relevance and practical significance of the research and recommended the award of the Ph.D. degree.
The study examined consumer awareness and acceptance of IFFCO Nano Fertilisers while analysing the effectiveness of green marketing initiatives in promoting environmentally sustainable agricultural products. The research is expected to contribute valuable insights to the fields of marketing, consumer behaviour and sustainable agriculture.
The viva voce was attended by Prof. Tulika Saxena, Dean, Faculty of Management; Prof. Trilochan Sharma, Head of the Department of Business Administration; Prof. Sanjay Mishra, Dr. Harish Bhatt, Dr. Manjula Singh, Dr. Namrata Yadav Das, Dr. Nandita Sharma, Dr. Bhawana Saxena, Dr. Priyanka Rastogi, Neha Katheria, Bala Pratap Singh, Megha Joshi, Vaishali Vishwakarma, faculty members, research scholars and students.

Currently serving as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Business Administration, Pushpendra Maurya has made notable academic contributions through publications in national and international research journals, conference proceedings and books.
