and Awareness Talk on the occasion of Breastfeeding Awareness Week on 7th August 2026 (Friday). The programme aimed to spread awareness about the importance of breastfeeding, maternal nutrition, and infant health among students. The event commenced
with a Quiz Competition from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, where students enthusiastically participated and demonstrated their knowledge of maternal and child health, nutrition, and breastfeeding practices.The programme was followed by an Awareness Talk from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. The keynote speaker, Ms. Ranu Singh, Community Nutritionist and Chief Program Officer, IAPEN India, delivered an insightful session on the significance of exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months of life, its health benefits for both mother and child, proper breastfeeding techniques, and common myths associated with breastfeeding. She also emphasized the importance of balanced nutrition, family support, and public awareness in promoting successful breastfeeding practices.

The interactive session concluded with a question-and-answer round, during which students actively engaged with the speaker and clarified their queries. The programme successfully enhanced awareness regarding breastfeeding and inspired students to become advocates for maternal and child health in society.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the distinguished speaker.Dr Ranjeet Kaur , Dr Zainab steered the Event successfully . The contributions of the organizers and participants were also duly acknowledged for making the programme a meaningful and successful initiative.
