Gonda Authorities Issue Strict Directives to Ensure Safety and Compliance of School Vehicles

Gonda: In a decisive move to enhance student safety, the district administration in Gonda has issued strict instructions to schools regarding the safety and legal compliance of vehicles used for transporting students.

According to ARTO (Administration) R.C. Bhartiya, a total of 242 schools in the district have been identified where details of 313 school vehicles have not yet been updated on the UPISVMP portal. Authorities have expressed concern over the lack of compliance, calling it a serious lapse on the part of school managements.

Officials have made it mandatory for schools to upload complete details of their vehicles and drivers on the portal. This includes valid driving licences, vehicle fitness certificates, insurance documents, and affidavits. The administration emphasized that this process is crucial to ensuring the safety and security of students.

In light of the situation, all identified schools have been directed to remain open on April 19, 2026, and immediately upload the required information on the portal. Additionally, schools must present their vehicles at the ARTO office in Gonda for physical inspection. During this process, officials will verify vehicle fitness, safety standards, permits, and other essential documents.

The ARTO has warned that strict action will be taken against institutions failing to comply within the stipulated timeline.

Authorities have urged all schools across the district to prioritize student safety and adhere to the guidelines without delay.
