Gonda: The Akhil Bharatiya Udyog Vyapar Mandal, Gonda, submitted a 10-point memorandum to Union Minister of State and Gonda MP Kirti Vardhan Singh on Saturday, putting forward suggestions for industrial and commercial development of Gonda and the wider Devipatan region under the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
District president Bhupendra Prakash Arya and district general secretary Shiv Kumar Soni said the memorandum focused on measures to support small and medium traders and accelerate economic development in Gonda in line with the Central government’s development objectives.

Among the key demands was the provision of Ayushman health cards with coverage of ₹10 lakh to GST-registered traders. The traders also sought priority in the issuance of arms licences for security purposes, along with representation for the trading community in the Traders Welfare Board, GST Council and Legislative Council.
The memorandum highlighted the poor condition of roads connecting Gonda district headquarters and various parts of the municipal area, seeking their immediate repair. The traders also raised the issue of properties classified as Nazul land, stating that freehold and mutation processes had been halted for a large portion of properties in the municipal area. They said the situation was affecting access to bank loans and creating legal difficulties for traders.

The association also demanded establishment of a Transport Nagar and Industrial Hub at the Devipatan divisional headquarters to promote industrial development. Other demands included measures to ease traffic congestion, time-bound resolution of traders’ grievances through Udyog Bandhu and Vyapar Bandhu meetings, development of Gonda bus station as a model bus station and relocation of its workshop.
State organisation secretary Jagdish Raytani, Rajendra Singh, Prince Chaurasia, Ramesh Soni and Atiq Ahmad Harmain were among those present.
