DM Hears Public Grievances at Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas in Gonda

Gonda: District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan heard grievances of residents during the Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas held at Gonda Sadar Tehsil on Saturday and directed officials to ensure the timely and quality disposal of all complaints.

A total of 135 applications were received during the public hearing, of which five were resolved on the spot. The remaining 130 complaints were forwarded to the concerned departments with instructions to resolve them within the prescribed timeframe and submit action-taken reports to the tehsil.

The District Magistrate directed officials to constitute teams for grievance resolution and conduct on-site inspections, ensuring that both parties involved in a dispute are heard before a decision is taken. She stressed that complaints should be resolved at the site with transparency and due quality.

Niranjan specifically directed officials to take joint action by revenue and police teams in cases involving illegal encroachment, chak roads, drains, ponds and other public land. She instructed officials to call complainants to the site, record their presence in writing and ensure photographic or videographic documentation of the action taken.

The District Magistrate warned that failure to dispose of complaints properly and within the stipulated timeframe could invite strict action against the responsible officials. She reiterated that all district-level officers must personally monitor the disposal of grievances.

These included Chief Minister Housing Scheme sanction letters, sanction letters under the Chief Minister Matsya Sampada Yojana, assistive devices such as walking sticks and hearing aids for persons with disabilities, nutrition kits for tuberculosis patients, Ayushman Bharat cards, ration cards and other approved benefits.
