Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal Inaugurates ‘Maharaja Suheldev Auditorium’ at Commissioner’s Office

Gonda: In a significant step towards modernizing administrative infrastructure, Durga Shakti Nagpal, Commissioner of Devi Patan Division, inaugurated the newly renovated and modernized auditorium at the Commissioner’s Office complex on Thursday. The facility has been officially named “Maharaja Suheldev Auditorium” in honor of the legendary warrior king and national icon.

The inauguration was ceremonially conducted by the office’s senior-most Personal Assistant Raksha Ram Verma and Peshkar Mohammad Haseeb in the presence of senior officials and staff members.

Following the inauguration, Commissioner Nagpal inspected the development and beautification works carried out in the auditorium. She stated that naming the facility after Maharaja Suheldev reflects the region’s rich historical and cultural heritage and serves as a tribute to one of India’s revered historical figures.

“The auditorium will serve as a modern and convenient venue for administrative meetings, training programmes, and other important public-oriented events,” she said.

Equipped with Modern Facilities

As part of the beautification and modernization initiative, the auditorium has been upgraded with contemporary interiors, advanced lighting systems, improved seating arrangements, enhanced technical facilities, and aesthetically designed interiors. These improvements are expected to significantly enhance the functionality and utility of the facility.

Step Towards Good Governance

Highlighting the importance of modern workplace infrastructure, Commissioner Nagpal said that maintaining clean, organized, and technologically equipped government offices is an essential component of good governance.

“A better working environment enhances administrative efficiency and enables officers and employees to perform their duties more effectively,” she remarked.

She also directed concerned officials to ensure regular maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of office buildings and premises so that both employees and members of the public can benefit from improved facilities.

Senior Officials Attend Ceremony

The inauguration programme was attended by Additional Commissioner (Administration) Meenu Rana, Additional Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Joint Development Commissioner Rakesh Kumar Pandey, along with several divisional-level officers and employees.

Participants appreciated the transformation of the auditorium and expressed confidence that the newly developed Maharaja Suheldev Auditorium would become a valuable center for administrative and public service-related activities in the region.
