Lucknow: Visual Art Foundation, Dalsinghsarai Samastipur Bihar, under the aegis of the prestigious institution doing art and social work, in the Artist Honor Ceremony of Srijanotsav – 14th Sharadiya Navratri Mahotsav – 2024, three artists from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, painter, curator and art writer Bhupendra Kumar Asthana, painter and Kathak dancer Raghavendra Pratap Singh and painter Sanjay Raj, along with many personalities from across the country were honored with “Kala Prabuddha Samman and Kala Ratna Samman”.
The honor ceremony was organized at Hotel Bhavya Resort in Dalsinghsarai Samastipur Bihar with the special cooperation of the Municipal Council. For their outstanding performance in the field of art, Bhupendra Kumar Asthana was awarded the “Kala Prabuddha Samman” and Raghavendra Pratap Singh and Sanjay Raj were awarded the “Kala Ratna Samman”.
Visual Art Foundation was established in 2011. This organization has been honoring contemporary and traditional artists, sculptors, Puja committees and priests for the past 13 years by organizing social, religious and artistic programs. Many renowned artists of national and international level have also presented their presentations from this platform. The main objective of this organization is to give recognition to local and other folk artists and honor them at the national and state level on the basis of that recognition. The organization also keeps making children and youth aware of art through many other programs.
Bhupendra Asthana of Lucknow told about the ceremony after seeing it firsthand that last Sunday, a one-day program “Srujanotsav” was organized by the Visual Art Foundation of Dalsinghsarai of Samastipur district of Bihar with the cooperation of the city council. We three artists from Lucknow also participated in it. Like every year, hundreds of Padma Shri artists from across the country, including those associated with folk arts, painting, sculpture, art writing, film, dance, fashion, anchor, sports, comedian and music, participated in this event in the 14th Sharadiya Navratri Festival and Second Sri Krishna Janmashtami Festival – 2024 and also gave presentations and were felicitated by the organization. All the artists were given certificates, robes and insignia as a mark of respect. All the artists felicitated expressed special gratitude and thanks to all the members of the Visual Art Foundation and its president Mohammad Suleman and said that Mo Suleman is not only a great painter but his passion for art, his passion for felicitating artists is commendable. Srijanotsav 2024 proved to be such a program where the celebration of art creation was celebrated.
