Bhopal: Electric vehicle manufacturer Komaki Electric Vehicles has expanded its two-wheeler portfolio with the launch of two new electric scooters, the MG Pro V and MG Pro+. The company says the new models are aimed at making premium build quality and advanced electric mobility features more accessible to Indian consumers.
Priced at ₹73,999 for the MG Pro V and ₹79,999 for the MG Pro+, the scooters distinguish themselves in the affordable EV segment through their all-metal body construction. While many electric scooters in the entry and mid-range categories use fiber-based body panels, Komaki has opted for a metal body design intended to provide greater durability, improved structural strength, and enhanced longevity.
The newly launched scooters have been designed for everyday commuters seeking a balance between affordability, reliability, and modern technology. According to the company, the MG Pro V offers a riding range of approximately 90 to 100 kilometers on a single charge, while the MG Pro+ is capable of delivering a range exceeding 150 kilometers, making it suitable for both daily commuting and extended urban travel.
Both models are powered by a BLDC hub motor and utilize LiFePO4 battery technology, which is known for its durability, thermal stability, and longer operational life. The company states that the battery system has been developed to provide dependable performance while minimizing maintenance requirements.
In addition to their robust construction, the scooters feature a range of technology and convenience-oriented functions. These include smartphone connectivity that allows users to monitor battery health and remaining range, front disc brakes, telescopic suspension, anti-theft protection, parking assistance, a repair switch, and a spacious footboard designed for rider comfort. The MG Pro+ also comes with increased storage capacity, offering a larger boot space for carrying everyday essentials.

Commenting on the launch, Gunjan Malhotra said the company aims to bridge the gap between affordability and quality in the electric mobility market. She noted that customers increasingly expect vehicles that combine premium construction, dependable performance, and modern technology without a significant increase in cost.
Malhotra emphasized that the inclusion of a metal body structure and long-lasting LiFePO4 batteries reflects the company’s focus on building products capable of handling diverse Indian road conditions while providing a reliable ownership experience. She added that consumers deserve electric vehicles that are not only visually appealing but also engineered for long-term durability and everyday practicality.
With the introduction of the MG Pro V and MG Pro+, Komaki has further strengthened its presence in India’s rapidly expanding electric two-wheeler market. The launch underscores the company’s strategy of offering feature-rich and durable mobility solutions at competitive prices, while responding to growing consumer demand for quality, performance, and value in the affordable electric vehicle segment.
Industry observers note that as electric vehicle adoption continues to accelerate across India, manufacturers are increasingly focusing on differentiation through build quality, battery technology, range, and rider-centric features. By introducing metal-body scooters in an affordable price bracket, Komaki aims to carve out a distinctive position in a highly competitive market and appeal to a broad spectrum of urban and semi-urban consumers.
