Bareilly: Ahead of the 24th convocation of Rohilkhand University, the campus is gearing up to host Dikshotsav, a vibrant festival featuring an array of cultural competitions and academic activities. Mirroring last year’s initiative, schools in the university’s adopted villages will participate in events ranging from public speaking and essay writing to painting, poetry, and folk dance. However, this year marks a significant expansion as all affiliated institutions are being formally integrated into the celebrations.

According to Cultural Coordinator Dr. Jyoti Pandey, directives issued by the Jan Bhavan mandate that all government, aided, and self-financed colleges affiliated with the university organize an essay writing competition. Detailed operational guidelines have already been dispatched to these institutions. Participating colleges are required to conclude their local competitions by July 15, 2026. Following the events, they must submit a comprehensive report including photographs and the names of the top three winners to the university’s official cultural center email at culturalcenter@gmail.com by July 17, 2026.
