Senior School Annual Concert Celebrates Talent, Passion and the Performing Arts

Lucknow: On August 13 and 14, 2026, the Farida Abraham Memorial Auditorium came alive with music, dance and drama as the Senior School Annual Concert unfolded across two memorable evenings. Filled with energy, creativity and emotion, the spectacular programme showcased the remarkable talent of 795 girls, who took to the stage with confidence and enthusiasm.

The evening opened on a powerful note with ‘Shakti Roop’, an energetic dance performance by two Class 9 students. Their commanding performance immediately set the tone for an evening of vibrant entertainment. This was followed by a soulful piano solo that brought a moment of calm before Class 12 presented ‘A Tribute to Asha Bhosle – The Timeless Icon’. The musical tribute celebrated the legendary singer’s enduring legacy, with familiar melodies drawing the audience into the performance.

The pace soon picked up with the beautifully choreographed dance duet ‘Tradition in Motion’. Class 10 then took the stage with its English Band, delivering a lively live performance that filled the auditorium with excitement and drew an enthusiastic response from the audience.

 

Class 11 followed with ‘Panchatatva: The Truth of Life’, an engaging dance drama that combined movement, emotion and storytelling. The production explored the deeper dimensions of life through a visually compelling presentation and thoughtful choreography.

A flute solo titled ‘Whispering Wind’ created another serene interlude, with its gentle notes resonating through the auditorium. The mood then shifted dramatically with ‘Rhythmic Rhapsody’, a high-energy dance duet that brought renewed excitement to the stage.

The theatrical highlight of the programme came with Class 9’s ‘Just, Eliza!’, a lively adaptation of George Bernard Shaw’s classic play ‘Pygmalion’. Blending witty dialogue, engaging performances and entertaining musical numbers, the production brought the story to life with considerable charm and theatrical flair.

The atmosphere turned celebratory with ‘FIFA Fiesta’, a vibrant dance duet inspired by the excitement and spirit of the FIFA World Cup. A creative fusion of dance styles captured the energy of the global sporting spectacle and kept the audience thoroughly engaged.

The performers then raised the excitement further with ‘Symphony of Light’, a spectacular hula hoop presentation that combined coordination, rhythm and visual appeal. This was followed by the graceful dance duet ‘Echoes of Elegance’, which brought a touch of poise and sophistication to the proceedings.

The musical celebrations reached another high point when Class 10 presented ‘Celebrating the Music Icons of Yesteryears – The Titans of Music’. The performance paid tribute to celebrated musical legends and their timeless compositions, taking the audience on a nostalgic journey through some unforgettable sounds of the past.

As the concert moved towards its conclusion, the instrumental ensemble ‘Patriotic Harmony’ filled the auditorium with stirring melodies and patriotic emotion. The performance created a fitting atmosphere for the closing moments of the two-day celebration.

The Lady Principal then delivered the Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the dedication and hard work of the staff, the commitment and talent of the students, and the continued support of parents. She appreciated the collective effort that transformed the annual concert into a memorable celebration.

The event concluded on a proud and emotional note, with the entire auditorium coming together for the College Song followed by the National Anthem. With its rich blend of music, dance, theatre and creativity, the two-day Senior School Annual Concert offered a memorable showcase of the students’ talent while celebrating the spirit of teamwork, confidence and artistic expression.
