DM Reviews Farmer Registry Progress in Bareilly, Pushes for Faster Enrollment

Bareilly: District Magistrate Avinash Singh chaired a review meeting at the Collectorate Auditorium to assess the progress of the farmer registry drive in the district, directing officials to accelerate the registration process and clear pending cases on priority.

During the meeting, the District Magistrate noted that Bareilly is currently ranked 23rd in the state in terms of farmer registry progress and stressed the need for immediate improvement. He instructed the Deputy Director of Agriculture and other concerned officials to intensify the campaign and ensure faster enrollment of farmers.

Emphasising accountability, the DM directed staff engaged in the registry work to dispose of all pending cases within the next three days, warning that negligence at any level would not be tolerated.

All tehsildars were instructed to organise special camps in villages to raise awareness about the farmer registry and encourage maximum participation. The DM also asked tehsil-level officials to conduct regular field visits and closely monitor progress.

He further advised officials to promptly address any technical or administrative issues by coordinating with higher authorities to avoid delays. Special emphasis was laid on reaching out to farmers residing outside the district and facilitating their registration through communication and coordination.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Agriculture Himanshu Pandey, District Agriculture Officer Ritusha Tiwari, District Panchayati Raj Officer Kamal Kishore Pandey, along with other concerned officials.

Officials described the review as part of an intensified effort to streamline the farmer registry process and ensure wider coverage across the district.
