Representatives from 32 Leading UK Universities Guide Students on Higher Education Opportunities Abroad
Lucknow: Amity International School, Viraj Khand, in collaboration with the Amity Career Counselling & Guidance Cell, successfully hosted the “Study @ UK – Open House University Fair” in association with the British Council. The initiative was designed to provide students with first-hand exposure to international higher education opportunities and help them make informed academic and career choices.
Organised under the visionary guidance of Founder President, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, and Chairperson, Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan, the event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of more than 250 students from Classes XI and XII of Amity International School, Viraj Khand, Vrindavan Yojana, and Jagdishpur campus.
Held under the leadership of Rachna Mishra, Principal, Amity International School, Viraj Khand, and Taruna Barthwal, Head, Amity Career Counselling Cell, the fair brought together representatives from 32 leading universities across the United Kingdom. The event was also attended by Vishu Sharma and Himani Taneja, delegates from the British Council.
Special Study Abroad awareness and counselling sessions were organised to acquaint students with higher education opportunities in the UK. Experts and university representatives provided comprehensive information on academic pathways, programme structures, admission procedures, scholarships, career prospects, visa requirements, student life, and global employment opportunities.
Students had the unique opportunity to interact directly with university representatives, enabling them to gain authentic insights into various institutions, courses, eligibility criteria, and application procedures. The interactive sessions addressed students’ queries and equipped them with practical knowledge to plan their academic journey abroad with confidence.
The programme proved to be highly enriching, offering students valuable exposure to the global education landscape. Participants appreciated the initiative, stating that the guidance received during the fair would help them make well-informed decisions regarding their higher education and future careers. The event successfully reinforced Amity’s commitment to preparing students for global academic excellence and international opportunities.
