During the meeting, the District Panchayat Raj Officer informed that the establishment of Aadhaar service centres in six large Gram Panchayats has been proposed. The initiative aims to provide Aadhaar-related services to rural residents locally, reducing their dependence on head post offices for such work.
Addressing officials, District Magistrate Avinash Singh directed that roads leading to council schools and health centres should be repaired on priority, especially in areas where waterlogging during the rainy season causes inconvenience to students, patients and residents.
Chief Development Officer Devyani instructed officials that funds and grants received by Kshetra Panchayats under various schemes should be utilised for approving development works included in the 2026-27 Gram Panchayat action plans. She emphasised that every proposed work should clearly mention the reasons and necessity behind its inclusion.
She further directed that priority should be given to works that have remained pending for a long time and have not been included under any previous development scheme.
During the meeting, the District Magistrate also instructed all Block Development Officers to ensure that arrangements on Kanwar routes are completed before the beginning of the Shravan month. He directed officials to install halogen lights at locations requiring additional illumination so that Kanwariyas do not face any difficulties while travelling.
The meeting also reviewed various aspects of village-level development planning and stressed the importance of preparing practical and need-based action plans for improving rural infrastructure and public facilities.
Chief Development Officer Devyani, District Development Officer Dinesh Kumar, Project Director DRDA Chandra Prakash Srivastava, District Panchayat Raj Officer Kamal Kishore Pandey and all Block Development Officers were present during the meeting.
