Bareilly: Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Bareilly, has awarded a Ph.D. degree to research scholar Dr Shubhi Agrawal from the Department of Business Administration for her work on the role of incubation centres in strengthening startup sustainability.
Dr Agrawal completed her doctoral research under the supervision of Prof Trilochan Sharma, Head of the Department of Business Administration. Her thesis, titled “Impact of Incubation Centres on Startup Sustainability,” examines how incubation centres contribute to entrepreneurship development, innovation, business growth and the long-term success of startups.
The research presents a comprehensive analysis of the startup ecosystem and highlights the crucial role played by incubation centres in supporting emerging entrepreneurs through technical guidance, mentorship, access to resources and networking opportunities. It concludes that these institutions significantly enhance the sustainability and self-reliance of startups by fostering an enabling environment for innovation and enterprise development.
The thesis was evaluated and the viva voce conducted by external examiner Prof Subodh Kesarwani, who commended the originality, academic quality, research methodology and contemporary relevance of the study. Following the successful evaluation, he recommended the award of the doctoral degree.
Congratulating Dr Agrawal on her achievement, Prof Trilochan Sharma said the research would serve as a valuable reference for policymakers, academicians and organisations working to promote entrepreneurship and strengthen India’s startup ecosystem.
The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof K.P. Singh, along with faculty members, research scholars and the university community, extended their congratulations to Dr Shubhi Agrawal and wished her continued success in her academic, research and professional career.
