SP Workers Urged to Help Youth Fill Form-6 for New Voter Registration: Lautan Ram Nishad

Lucknow/Ayodhya: Samajwadi Party (SP) workers have been urged to actively assist eligible youth in becoming new voters by helping them fill Form-6, said senior SP leader and former state president of the Backward Classes Cell, Chaudhary Lautan Ram Nishad. He was addressing a PDA Jan Panchayat meeting held at Padailwa Gram Panchayat in the Goshainganj Assembly constituency.

The meeting was chaired by Parshuram Nishad and coordinated by Ramnaresh Yadav. Addressing party workers, Nishad said that errors found in SIR (Special Intensive Revision) forms should be promptly rectified by submitting the required documents upon receipt of notices. He alleged that the government was deliberately harassing common people under a planned conspiracy.

Nishad claimed that the current political environment is anti-people and anti-democratic, accusing the government of undermining constitutional values, democracy, voting rights, and citizenship. He appealed to SP leaders and workers to wholeheartedly assist both the party and the general public in completing the SIR process correctly.

He further said that if the SIR process is conducted fairly, it would pave the way for the formation of a Samajwadi Party government in 2027, which, according to him, is essential for public welfare. He specifically urged workers to help those whose names are missing from the draft list to submit birth and residence-related documents, and to assist youths who have turned 18 and did not receive SIR forms by filling Form-6 for new voter registration.

Addressing the gathering, Vijay Bahadur Verma, National Secretary of Mulayam Singh Yadav Youth Brigade, stressed the need for booth-level vigilance. “Every vote and every booth must be monitored to ensure voters’ rights are protected,” he said, alleging that the present government is intolerant of socialist ideology and harbours animosity towards Samajwadi workers. He thanked party workers and appealed for cooperation in correcting SIR-related discrepancies.

Similar PDA meetings were also held in Kevalapur and Rajpaliya, where Nishad alleged that the government, anticipating defeat in the 2027 elections, had ordered SIR verification based on the 2003 voter list instead of the 2024 list. He claimed pressure was being exerted on officials to prevent Samajwadi supporters from being registered as voters.

Expressing confidence in party workers, Nishad said they are strong and committed enough to foil the alleged designs of the BJP government. He added that once SIR discrepancies are fully corrected, the dedication and hard work of Goshainganj workers would be clearly visible.

The meeting was attended by several local leaders and workers, including Sharda Prasad Nishad, Parshuram Nishad, Nikhil Kannaujia, Ravindra Yadav, Rajkumar Nishad, Surendra Kumar Bagi, Jagannath Pal, Dinesh Gaud, Surendra Nishad, and Ramkumar Nishad, among others. The proceedings were conducted by Sandeep Yadav Sunny, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Mahesh Nishad.
