Two Police Stations to Be Established at Noida International Airport for Enhanced Security

Noida: The path has been cleared for the establishment of two police stations within the premises of Noida International Airport. A proposal has been sent to the government after identifying 1,000 square meters of land for the police stations. Work will commence as soon as the proposal receives official approval.

According to police officials, Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) will be responsible for constructing the police station buildings. In the first phase, each station will have 35 police personnel, including officers of inspector rank. Additionally, a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and two Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP) will be deployed to oversee operations. The architectural plans for the stations have already been drafted, and preparations for the setup are underway.

Enhanced Local and Airport Security

The establishment of these police stations will not only bolster airport security but also provide relief to local residents. Future plans include the construction of additional police offices and buildings. Noida Police will assist the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in ensuring the airport’s security. While CISF will deploy 1,047 personnel for airport security, Noida Police Commissionerate will contribute 131 officers. The selection and training of police personnel for these stations will begin shortly.

Advanced Security Equipment to Be Installed

To enhance passenger safety, the airport will be equipped with advanced security systems, including hidden X-ray machines, Door Frame Metal Detectors (DFMD), Hand-Held Metal Detectors (HHMD), Explosive Trace Detectors (ETD), and LED surveillance systems. This technology will monitor all activities inside and around the airport premises. In addition to uniformed security guards, plainclothes police officers will be stationed throughout the airport. The premises will also be secured with CCTV cameras, drones, and state-of-the-art metal detectors.
