‘Gita Samvad’ Sculpture Installed at Lucknow Junction Railway Station

Illuminated Display Showcases Lord Krishna’s Message from the Bhagavad Gita

Lucknow: In a unique initiative aimed at promoting India’s spiritual and cultural heritage, the Northeast Railway has installed a striking ‘Gita Samvad’ (Dialogue of the Gita) sculpture at Lucknow Junction Railway Station.

The newly installed artwork depicts the iconic moment from the Bhagavad Gita in which Lord Krishna imparts divine wisdom to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Housed within a glass enclosure, the sculpture features a chariot scene symbolizing the timeless dialogue that forms the essence of the sacred text.

The installation continuously broadcasts the famous verse “Karmanyevadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana”, conveying a message of selfless action and dedication to duty. The display has also been enhanced with an LED lighting system, making the sculpture visually appealing, especially during evening hours.

Speaking about the initiative, Gaurav Agrawal, Divisional Railway Manager, said that the installation is expected to inspire passengers and visitors by spreading positive values and encouraging a sense of responsibility and commitment.

He noted that the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, particularly the message of performing one’s duty without attachment to results, remain highly relevant in modern life. The sculpture will also provide younger generations and tourists with an opportunity to connect with India’s rich cultural and spiritual traditions.

Railway officials believe the installation will not only beautify the station premises but also serve as a meaningful cultural landmark for thousands of passengers passing through Lucknow Junction every day.
