Gonda: A two-day religious and cultural congregation, Jashn-e-Faizan-e-Murshid, concluded at the renowned Darbar Aaliya Minaiya and Jamia Amirul Uloom Minaiya in Gonda, drawing Islamic scholars, Quran reciters, students and devotees from across the country. The event, held on July 16 and 17, was organised under the patronage of Hazrat Shah Jamal Meena, successor to Hazrat Jamal Meena Shah, and celebrated the spiritual legacy of Mahboobul Ulema wal Mashaikh.
The opening day began after the Zuhr prayers with the Ziyarat (holy viewing) of sacred relics associated with Prophet Muhammad, Hazrat Ali, Hazrat Imam Hasan, Hazrat Imam Husain and Ghaus-e-Pak. Thousands of devotees participated in the spiritual ceremony, seeking blessings and paying their respects.
The evening featured the All India Husn-e-Qira’at (Quran Recitation), Husn-e-Azaan (Call to Prayer) and Musabaqa-e-Khitab (Religious Oratory) competitions, in which participants from different states showcased their talent and scholarship. The contests were judged by eminent Islamic scholars and experts in Quranic recitation.
On the second day, a Qul Sharif gathering was held, during which Naats, Manqabats and religious discourses were presented. Delivering the keynote address, Allama Mufti Muhammad Akhtar Hussain Alimi emphasised that knowledge fosters tolerance and advised young people to adopt successful and virtuous personalities as role models in their pursuit of success.
Prominent scholars Maulana Muhammad Muzakkir Khan, known as Khatib-e-Hindustan, and Mufti Muhammad Naim Amjadi Azhari highlighted the teachings of Hazrat Mahboobul Ulema wal Mashaikh and underscored the significance of spiritual mentorship in Islam.

The winners of the national-level competitions in Quran recitation, Azaan, religious oratory and the Islamic quiz were honoured with cash prizes, trophies and gifts. The first-place winners in the Qira’at and Khitab competitions each received ₹51,000, while the winner of the Azaan competition was awarded ₹25,000. All participants were also presented with commemorative gifts and travel kits in recognition of their participation.
The programme was conducted by Qismat Sikanderpuri, while Azam Minai, Shakeel Minai and other devotional singers presented Naats and Manqabats. The event concluded with a collective prayer for the prosperity of the Khanqah, the institution, the nation, communal harmony and the well-being of humanity.
Among those present were Allama Qari Nisar Ahmad Minai Misbahi, Sufi Abdul Waheed, Maulana Syed Zafir, Dr. Laiq Ali Khan, Qari Ilyas Mashahadi, Maulana Muqeem Mashahadi, Faqeer Muhammad Minai, Ehsan Minai, Tabrez Alam, Qari Rafiq Minai, Qari Arshad, along with numerous Islamic scholars, teachers, imams and hundreds of devotees from across the country.
