Lucknow: Security arrangements have been intensified at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow ahead of Independence Day.
On Thursday, a joint team of Sarojini Nagar Police and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) conducted an extensive security inspection across the airport premises with the assistance of a dog squad and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS).
As part of the operation, security personnel thoroughly checked passengers’ baggage, vehicles and various objects and areas within the airport complex. Teams also inspected different locations to identify any suspicious or unattended items that could pose a security threat.
Security agencies appealed to passengers and visitors to remain vigilant and avoid touching any suspicious or unattended object. They were advised to immediately inform security personnel if they noticed anything unusual.

Officials said security checks and surveillance would continue at the airport in view of Independence Day celebrations to ensure the safety of passengers, staff and visitors.
Inspector Rajdev Ram Prajapati, Station House Officer of Sarojini Nagar Police Station, along with police personnel, CISF officials and security personnel, was present during the inspection drive.
