Unnao: SaveLIFE Foundation successfully conducted an Anticipatory Driving & Accident Prevention Training (ADAPT) program for commercial drivers on 13 January 2026, at Vikas Bhawan, Unnao, Uttar Pradesh. The training session saw active participation from 50 commercial vehicle drivers from various organisations including Uttar Pradesh State Transport Corporation, Central school, and Local bus and factory drivers. In addition, drivers associated with Hindustan Unilever Limited also attended the program, reinforcing the shared commitment of both organisations towards road safety.
The ADAPT program is a certificate-based course designed to address crucial challenges such as crashes caused by human error. The training focuses on equipping high-risk commercial vehicle drivers with the skills to anticipate hazards, make informed decisions, and act proactively to prevent crashes

Driven by the Recognise, Anticipate, Decide, and Execute (RADE) framework, the program enables drivers to better understand road dynamics and predict the behaviour of other road users. With blended learning methodologies, including real-world scenarios and relatable cultural references, the training program ensures higher retention and practical application of safe driving practices.

Speaking during the event, Sushil Kumar Gaur, Additional District Magistrate (ADM), Unnao District, said, “Road safety is a priority for the government. The intervention by SaveLIFE Foundation is undoubtedly a significant step for the Unnao area. Unnao is one of the most accident-prone areas. The valuable input provided by SaveLIFE Foundation will improve road safety in the region, and we are committed to reducing road crash fatalities”
Speaking about the training program, Mr. Piyush Tewari, Founder & CEO, SaveLIFE Foundation said, “Most road crashes are preventable if drivers are trained to anticipate risks before they escalate into emergencies. Through ADAPT, we focus on changing driving behaviour by strengthening decision-making at the right moment. Collaborations with organizations like HUL help us scale this impact and move closer to our goal of zero fatalities on Indian roads.”
Designed for both commercial and regular drivers, the ADAPT program has trained over 23,408 long-haul drivers since its launch in 2012. Linking the initiative with its focus on the Zero Fatality Program, SaveLIFE Foundation is contributing to safer roads and more responsible driving behaviour.
