Robots will now learn like children

AKTU organised a seminar on robotics technology, robotics expert and IIT Mandi director discussed various dimensions of robotics

Lucknow: A seminar on the topic Development of Cognitive Robotic System: Challenge and Future Perspectives was organised by the Centre for Advanced Studies and Innovation Hub at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. Prof Laxmidhar Behera, Director of IIT Mandi was the keynote speaker. Robotics expert Prof Laxmidhar Behera elaborated on various dimensions of robotics on this occasion.

He discussed the current status of robotics and how this technology will change in the future. He said that a lot of change is going to come with the advent of artificial intelligence. The world of robots will perform many tasks like humans. He also gave information about the algorithm of robotics.

He said that apart from listening like humans, robots are also working like them.

He also shared detailed information about advanced robotics, its applications, usefulness of robotics in industries, cognitive learning, imitation learning. He said that in the coming times, robots will also learn the way children learn from elders.

However, he also pointed out the challenges of robotics technology. On this occasion, Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. JP Pandey honored him by presenting a memento. The program was conducted by Associate Dean Innovation Dr. Anuj Kumar Sharma. While thanks were given by Innovation Hub Head Maheep Singh. During this, a large number of teachers and students were present.
