MJP Rohilkhand University Secures Notable Positions in IIRF 2026 Rankings

Bareilly: Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Bareilly, has achieved significant recognition in the Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) 2026, earning commendable rankings across engineering, management, hospitality, and sports education categories. The performance reflects the university’s sustained focus on academic excellence, innovation, research, and holistic student development.

According to the IIRF 2026 rankings, the university’s Institute of Engineering and Technology secured the 130th position among government engineering colleges in India. It also ranked 16th among government engineering institutions in Uttar Pradesh, reinforcing its growing reputation in technical education.

The university also recorded a strong performance in management education. Its MBA programme, operating under the state university system, was ranked seventh in Uttar Pradesh, reflecting the impact of industry-oriented curricula, experienced faculty members, modern teaching methodologies, and student placement initiatives.

Adding to the university’s achievements, the Department of Hotel Management and Catering Technology secured the 34th rank at the national level. The ranking highlights the department’s emphasis on professional training, academic quality, and strong engagement with the hospitality industry.

In the field of sports, MJPRU continued to strengthen its reputation by securing the 20th position nationally and the fourth position in Uttar Pradesh in the sports university category. The achievement has been attributed to the university’s sports infrastructure, dedicated coaching system, and the consistent performance of its students in national and international competitions.

The university administration credited these accomplishments to the guidance and encouragement of Anandiben Patel, who serves as the Chancellor of the university. Officials also acknowledged the support and academic oversight provided by Raj Bhavan and higher education authorities in promoting institutional quality and educational reforms.

Vice-Chancellor K. P. Singh described the rankings as the result of the collective efforts and dedication of the entire university community. He said the institution remains committed to providing quality, research-driven and career-oriented education while expanding opportunities in innovation, skill development and sports excellence.

Prof. Singh congratulated faculty members, students, researchers, staff, alumni and partner institutions for their contributions and expressed confidence that the university would continue to improve its standing in national and international rankings in the coming years.
