Hazratganj Police arrests wanted accused Kaleem Ahmed

Lucknow: In a significant breakthrough, Hazratganj police have arrested Kaleem Ahmed, a wanted accused in the infamous INR 10,000 salt scam case. Ahmed was apprehended from Bhatta Basti, Jaipur, in connection with a large-scale fraud involving the supply department’s salt tender.

Ahmed, along with six others, had allegedly duped a businessman of INR 6.06 crore under the pretense of securing a salt tender. When the businessman demanded his money back, he was reportedly threatened with dire consequences.

A case was registered against Ahmed and his associates, and while the other accused had been arrested and sent to jail earlier, Ahmed had been absconding. His arrest marks a major success for the police.

The operation was led by Hazratganj Inspector Vikram Singh, whose team successfully tracked and nabbed Ahmed. Further investigation into the case is underway, and authorities are working to recover the defrauded money.
