Approval certificates and demo cheques distributed to beneficiaries under District Magistrate’s chairmanship
Gonda: A district-level Dairy Conclave was held at the Zila Panchayat auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan, organised by the Dairy Development Department. The event aimed to boost milk production, help cattle farmers become self-reliant, and ensure that eligible beneficiaries actually benefit from the department’s various welfare schemes. Speaking at the programme, the DM called the dairy sector a strong pillar of the rural economy, noting that effective implementation of government schemes is playing a key role in raising the incomes of farmers and livestock owners. She also directed officials concerned to ensure these schemes are properly publicised and rolled out on time.
Farmers benefit under CM’s Swadeshi Gau Samvardhan and Nand Baba Milk Mission schemes
During the event, selected beneficiaries of various department schemes were handed approval certificates and demo cheques. Under the Chief Minister’s Swadeshi Gau Samvardhan Yojana, 28 beneficiaries received approval certificates, while 7 beneficiaries were given demo cheques worth ₹80,000 each. In addition, under the Mini Nandini Krishak Samriddhi Yojana — part of the Nand Baba Milk Mission — 3 selected beneficiaries received demo cheques of ₹5.9 lakh each.
Beneficiaries present at the event thanked the government and the Dairy Department, saying these schemes would give a fresh boost to the dairy business and create more employment and income opportunities in rural areas.
Livestock owners, farmers, and other participants at the event were given detailed information about the department’s various schemes — eligibility criteria, the application process, and the benefits on offer. Officials explained that the schemes are aimed at promoting modern dairy development, increasing milk production, and strengthening farmers economically. The programme was conducted by Anjani Kumar Dubey.
The event was attended by District Development Officer Aditya Tiwari, the General Manager of the Dairy Department, the Chief Veterinary Officer, the Lead District Manager (LDM), the Deputy Director of Agriculture, agricultural scientist Gopal Gram, officials from various other departments, and a large number of farmers, livestock owners, and beneficiaries.
