Lucknow, October 14: In a significant breakthrough, the police have arrested two notorious thieves involved in a major theft in Jankipuram. The accused, Sudhir Kashyap and Ravi Verma, were apprehended by SHO Upendra Singh and his team after an intense investigation. The theft, which took place on October 7, resulted in the loss of ₹1 lakh in cash.
During the arrest, the police also recovered the bike used in the crime, linking the two suspects to the scene. Both Kashyap and Verma have multiple cases registered against them from previous incidents, adding to their already long criminal records.
At a press conference, ACP Aliganj Brijnarayan Singh revealed details of the case and lauded the efforts of the police team for their swift action. Recognizing the hard work involved in the arrest, DCP North announced a reward of ₹10,000 for the officers responsible.
The arrest brings relief to the residents of Jankipuram, who had been on edge following the theft. The police are continuing their investigation to probe any further involvement of the duo in other cases.
