Lucknow: Bhatkhande Sanskriti University, Lucknow, marked World Environment Day with a large-scale tree plantation drive, reaffirming its commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development. The programme was organized with great enthusiasm and witnessed active participation from faculty members, university staff and other stakeholders.
The plantation campaign was inaugurated by the university’s newly appointed Registrar, Sushil Pratap Singh, who planted a sapling and encouraged participants to contribute towards creating a greener and healthier environment. Speaking on the occasion, Registrar Sushil Pratap Singh emphasized that environmental protection should not be confined to a single day but must become an integral part of daily life. “Through tree plantation, we not only fulfil our responsibility towards nature but also lay the foundation for a cleaner, safer and more sustainable future for coming generations,” he said. He urged everyone to plant more trees and ensure their regular care and maintenance.
