Lucknow: The corridors of Seth M. R. Jaipuria School, Goel Campus, Lucknow, buzzed with palpable enthusiasm on 24th August 2026 as the institution hosted its solemn Investiture Ceremony. The auspicious event marked the official induction of the new student council, instilling a profound sense of duty and purpose among emerging leaders.
The proceedings commenced with a grand reception as the School Band escorted the dignitaries, followed by the ceremonial Lighting of the Lamp and a soulful rendering of Saraswati Vandana. Opening the ceremony on a gracious note, Mr. Mahesh Agarwal, Chairman of Goel Group of Institutions, delivered a heartfelt welcome speech to extend a warm reception to the Chief Guest, Dr. Shishir K. Srivastava—an internationally respected education leader, Global Citizenship Education advocate, author, and Founder & Global CEO of Unifusion Consultants and Shishir Leadership Academy. In his address, Mr. Agarwal also warmly congratulated the newly elected council members, encouraging them to embrace their roles with enthusiasm, integrity, and to keep their shoulders to the wheel through thick and thin.
During the portfolio investiture, the newly appointed council members stepped up to the plate to receive their sashes and badges. The Senior Wing saw Yasharth Singh inducted as Head Boy, Janvi Maurya as Head Girl, Bhumika as School Prefect (Girl), and Shikar as School Prefect (Boy).
The Junior Wing leadership was entrusted to Arnav Singh as Head Boy, Ayana Fatima as Head Girl, Advika as School Prefect, and Shivansh Tiwari as School Prefect. Sports and cultural governance were handed over to Shaurya (Senior Boys Sports Captain), Saumya Singh (Senior Girls Sports Captain), Ananya Tripathi (Junior Wing Sports Captain), and Rithwik alongside Adya as Cultural Secretaries. Specialized envoys were also appointed, including Harshi Saxena as Peer Educator, Anaya Tajdar as Sustainable Ambassador, and Medhanssh Srivastava, who hit the ground running as the Chief Editor leading the Editorial Board. Furthermore, the Captains and Vice-Captains for all four house contingents—Go Getters, Wave Riders, Game Changers, and Trail Blazers—were officially announced.
Following a crisp marching display by the portfolio holders, Dr. Srivastava delivered inspiring words of motivation, reminding the council that “Leadership is not about a title or a designation, it is about impact, influence, and inspiration.” He urged student leaders to lead by example and leave no stone unturned in upholding school values. Concluding the event, Principal Dr. Rina Pathak offered a formal Vote of Thanks to the Chief Guest and shared motivating words with the students, reminding them that “Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself; when you become a leader, success is all about growing others.” The memorable ceremony wrapped up with the solemn rendition of the National Anthem.
