Lucknow: Awareness programs should be organized for agricultural exporters and other related stakeholders in all districts to promote agricultural exports in the state. These things were said by Dinesh Pratap Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Horticulture, Agricultural Marketing and Agricultural Foreign Trade and Agricultural Export Department during the review meeting of Directorate of Agricultural Marketing and Agricultural Foreign Trade and Mandi Parishad.
Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh directed that awareness programs should be organized in each district. In these programs, exporters should be provided detailed information about various provisions, incentives and subsidies of Uttar Pradesh Agricultural Export Policy 2019 (Revised 2024).
Prepare pamphlets and distribute them among all the participants, which also include information about the application process, necessary documents and online modules available on the website, so that exporters can apply easily. Apart from this, information about the import requirements and potential prices of major export destinations should also be provided, which will help exporters to compete in the global market.
Minister Singh also emphasized that it is necessary to improve the infrastructure of the state’s mandis, their cleanliness, security and other facilities, so that farmers and exporters can get a safe and clean environment. In this direction, the government has also provided the necessary budget and resources for the smooth operation and maintenance of the mandis. The minister directed the officials to regularly review the maintenance work of the mandis and take strict action against any kind of negligence.
